Description

The Kibblewhite Precision Machining (KPMI) Exhaust Valve Guide (STD +0.010) is engineered for high performance and durability. Designed to optimize airflow, these guides feature a streamlined profile while maintaining essential cross-sectional thickness in high-temperature areas. In many cases, airflow is improved simply by installing the guides without additional modifications. The guides are made from premium C630 Racing Bronze, an alloy composed of approximately 80% copper, 5% nickel, and 10% aluminum. This composition provides excellent thermal conductivity, superior wear resistance, and reduced galling, allowing for tighter valve clearances, better valve-to-seat sealing, and enhanced oil control. A manganese bronze option is also available for cost-conscious engine builders, offering good wear characteristics and ease of machining. Precision manufacturing ensures tight concentricity tolerances, minimizing material removal during valve jobs and maintaining consistent combustion chamber volumes. Installation is simplified with built-in features that set the correct guide protrusion, eliminating the need for repeated measurements. These valve guides are compatible with aluminum cylinder heads and are resistant to corrosion, making them ideal for use with modern pump and performance fuels. The kit includes two valve guides.
