Description
The Kibblewhite Precision Intake Valve Guide is designed for high-performance applications, offering superior wear resistance and thermal conductivity. Made from C630 Racing Bronze, it contains 80% copper, 5% nickel, and 10% aluminum, ensuring excellent heat dissipation and durability. The high nickel content enhances hardness and corrosion resistance, making it ideal for use with modern fuels. The guide profile is engineered for minimal airflow obstruction while maintaining necessary thickness in high-temperature areas, promoting both performance and longevity. In many cases, simply installing these guides improves airflow without additional modifications. A built-in flange ensures proper protrusion for optimal seal-to-retainer clearance, eliminating the need for repeated measurements during installation. Where a flange would interfere, a diameter reduction above the purchase area marks the correct positioning. Manufactured to tight concentricity tolerances, these guides ensure precise alignment with the valve seat, reducing material removal during valve jobs and maintaining consistent chamber volumes. The material’s resistance to galling allows for tighter clearances, improving valve-to-seat sealing and oil control. Additionally, the Engine Builder Manganese Bronze Valve Guide option offers a cost-effective alternative while maintaining KPMI’s precision standards. With 60% copper content, it provides increased thermal conductivity over iron guides. Though softer than C630 bronze, it can be easily reamed and honed using standard tools. Each kit includes two valve guides unless otherwise specified.
