The Cometic MLS (Multi-Layer Steel) Head Gasket is engineered for durability and performance in demanding environments. Constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, it offers enhanced strength, excellent rebound properties, and resistance to corrosion. The outer layers are embossed and coated with Viton, a fluorocarbon rubber material that withstands temperatures up to 250°C (482°F) and is designed for harsh sealing conditions, varying load requirements, and diverse surface finishes. The uncoated center layer of stainless steel can be customized to meet specific thickness needs, making it highly adaptable for various applications. This gasket is particularly well-suited for use in aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast iron engine configurations, effectively managing the shearing forces that arise between different materials. Additionally, it is manufactured from premium, fuel-resistant materials that resist creeping, cracking, and brittleness, ensuring long-term reliability and superior performance.
